How To Wake Up Early

Have you ever hit the snooze button after your alarm’s painful wail, slowly drifting back to sleep, only to be woken up three minutes later? The majority of us can relate to this situation. Waking up early does have advantages. It can boost your concentration, help you be more productive, improve your quality of sleep, and amplify your energy. There are a few essential things to follow through to earn these benefits. Here are a few ways to make your mornings easier.

First off, if you are a night owl and can’t find a way to get to bed early, there are a few things you can do to trick your body into falling asleep early. You must slowly establish a new routine for your body. Gradually waking up 15-20 minutes earlier each day will slowly bring your body into the right mindset. Getting in bed earlier will tell your body it’s time for bed. Sleep experts have found adults need about seven to nine hours of sleep every night. So timing out when you fall asleep and wake up may help you naturally rise earlier.

Unplugging from all screens 30 minutes before bed can also benefit your sleep. Scientists found that the blue light displayed on devices can alter your body’s natural melatonin levels, preventing your brain from wanting to sleep.

Try to stay away from all-nighters. Your body needs sleep every night, and if you stay up too late, you can interrupt your entire week’s sleep schedule. One thing you may not think about is keeping your curtains open during the night so that when you wake up, the sunlight will trick your brain into thinking it is daytime, and your body will wake up more naturally. Exercising during the day is important. Actively moving for at least 30 minutes a day will benefit your sleep. Scientists have performed many studies on athletes’ sleep and individuals who don’t get out as much. From these studies they have concluded exercising should be a crucial part of your week.

These few tricks can benefit your sleep schedule and the pain of waking up early every morning. Try setting down your phone, opening the curtains, sleeping 7-9 hours every day of the week, and exercising daily. It may take time and effort, but with little changes at a time, you can set your body into the mindset of easily waking up early.
