The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

Aliyah Newton, Writer

The fourth movie in the Hunger Games series will be in theaters on November 17, 2023. Due to the design’s attention to detail and quality, as well as the performers and actresses selected, it is projected to be highly popular. Fans will be counting down the days until its release.

The trailer was recently released on April 27, 2023. Just after two weeks, it has reached 17 million views. Most believe the cast was the perfect pick for each Hunger Games character, starting off with the charming, ruthless, and arrogant Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blythe. His sharp facial features, pale skin, and bleached hair perfectly match Snow’s personality and nature. Next, it’s hard to compete with the selection for Lucy Grey Baird. Rachel Zeigler has the perfect film presence and form for this role. Her dark eyes and hair perfectly match the description given in “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” Also, fans cannot wait to see Hunter Schafer, Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, and Ashley Lieo.

The plot will take place when the Hunger Games had just begun and follow Coriolanus Snow throughout his younger teenage years. We will see him grow in his personality and learn about his hardships as a young man. He will find people he loves and people he hates. He will fight for and against the capital, but by the end, he will need to decide if he will go with the capital and be a snake or go against the capital and become a songbird.

Francis Lawrence has directed every single “Hunger Games” film and has continued his role as director of this film. Filming started in Poland, and the team traveled all around Europe to film scenes in the perfect location. It has taken over 500 people to make this film and many days of commitment and editing. Many anticipate this film to be released, and it will be worth the wait.
