As we come to the end of the first semester, some may have regrets that they didn’t complete all their work and now its too late to fix their grade. Staying ahead will help with the stress of high school, and who wants to come to class unprepared?

  1. Complete homework as soon as you get home. The longer you wait to do it, the more likely it isn’t going to get done. By the time you have your work finished you will have the rest of the day to enjoy yourself and do what you want.
  2. When in class do the classwork. Instead of going on your phone, complete your classwork so you don’t have to use your free time outside of school to finish it.
  3. If you don’t understand something in class ask the teacher. They would be more than happy to help you further understand what you’re confused about.
  4. Keep up on what you need to get done. Writing down when assignments are due in a planner or putting them in the reminders in your phone will help you be aware of what you need to get done.
  5. Budget your study time. If you’re stronger in one subject but weaker in another subject, put more study time into the weaker subject.
  6. If you’re behind on credits, talk to your counselor about working out a way to get the credits you need.

Come into the new semester and keep your grades up! Its a lot easier to go to school without stressing about incomplete assignments.
