Valentine’s Day Dates Around the Harbor

Reagan Trim

Valentine’s day is coming up and you all want to take that special someone out on a date; or yourself, both are acceptable. But in the small town of Gig Harbor where could you possibly go? This article should help.

The first date is perfect for a cute few hours, especially if you like arts and crafts. First, you can go to Java and Clay (3210 Harborview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) and paint mugs, plates, or anything you want pottery wise. Couples mugs? Once you have painted and added all your beautiful details you give them back to be fired and they will call you to pick up your masterpieces in a week or so’s time. Next, head over to Kelly’s (7806 Pioneer Way, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) for some food, whether that’s some ice cream on a chilly February day or some breakfast, Kelly’s has it all. I’ve heard their milkshakes are amazing. Finally, take a quick walk in Skansie Brothers Park and admire the beautiful place we call home, along with your significant other.

The second date takes a bit more time but nonetheless very enjoyable. Head over to Olympic Village (5500 Olympic Dr NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) and browse through the Gig Harbor Goodwill. Trust me when I tell you, if you look hard enough there are many good gems. Next head over to Fondi’s Pizza (10, 4621 Point Fosdick Dr NW #200, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) and grab a bite to eat. Finally to conclude this date, take them to the Galaxy Theaters(4649 Point Fosdick Dr NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) for a movie.

The third and final date is more relaxed date, while still getting you out of the house. Head on down to Misty Meadows Antiques (6319 Soundview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) and browse. This place offers many little trinkets and cool room prices. Even if you aren’t interested in buying anything it’s fun to look at some vintage stuff. Next take your date for some coffee at the newly remodeled Flagship Cutters Point (5500 Olympic Dr NW a101, Gig Harbor, WA 98335). The inside is beautiful and who wouldn’t want some coffee?

Make sure to appreciate all those who love you, Happy Valentine’s Day!
