 9. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

It’s a classic Lampoon holiday when all of Clark’s (Chevy Chase) plans go completely wrong. Of course it’s all worth it…he has a huge holiday bonus check coming.

 8. Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

It’s Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and all the kids we love. Charlie Brown decides to restore the true meaning of Christmas by becoming the director of the Christmas pageant.

 7. The Polar Express (2004)

On Christmas Eve a young boy boards a train, the Polar Express, on its way to the North Pole. When they arrive Santa will choose one boy or girl to sit in his sleigh and tell him their wish.

It’s that time of year again and Scott Calvin’s (Tim Allen) ex wife once again did not tell their son that Santa is not real. Until Scott finds the real Santa on his roof and accidentally kills him, taking on the role of Santa himself.

He’s a mean one, Mr. Grinch, and a nasty wasty skunk. But given a dash of humor by Jim Carrey and Tim Burton makes this story even better than the cartoon.

Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) have spent every Christmas successfully avoiding their families by pretending to do charity work and instead going on vacation. Until one Christmas when they’re forced to visit both pairs of their divorced parents.

A movie about a kid that gets left at home on Christmas and  tries to save his house from robbers–with the help of a bee bee gun and a blow torch. What’s not to like?

Buddy a human raised as an elf, finds out his father lives in New York and goes on an adventure to find a home where he belongs. This movie may have been a bust if it was not for Will Ferrell.
