Fall semester in overview

Bella Taylor, Student Life/News

The fall semester was an incredible few months with unforgettable memories, such as our seventh win in a row against the Gig Harbor Football team at Fishbowl and our annual Homecoming week, and the magical Homecoming dance. We even tried new things, like our first winter social event. Before the semester comes to an end, let’s do a review of the fantastic times we’ve had in the fall semester.

The fall semester had a lot of wins, the biggest one being our seventh win at our annual football game against Gig Harbor. The Seahawks took the Tides down 39-30, pursuing our winning streak since 2016. Honorable mentions to Grady Johnson and Ethan Fias for having the highest number of tackles during the fishbowl game. Each quarter, Peninsula continued to beat down the Tides with higher scores. Let’s continue that streak, Seahawks, and show that Purdy grit in 2023!

Another amazing sports recap, congratulations to our girls’ varsity volleyball team went off to state and earned their spot in fifth! Our lady Seahawks put in that purdy grit and did their best. Great job, ladies, and keep doing what you’re doing!

Peninsula has had many traditions in its time, such as our beloved Homecoming week and dance. Homecoming was an absolute blast this year; with the yearly spirit week and the well-known homecoming dance, homecoming indeed was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everybody. There was dancing, photos, games, snacks, and, most important, memory making.

Our fall semester had so many wins, starting with our seventh win in the rivalry against Gig Harbor, our memorable homecoming dance, and even our lady Seahawks showing off their school spirit and going off to the state tournament. The fall semester indeed showed off Peninsula’s true colors. Let’s make the spring semester even better for the Seahawks and show off our Purdy grit!
