Football

With the amazing victory over Gig Harbor a few weeks ago (9/16/22), Varsity Football’s record is 6-1. This makes Peninsula High School 4th in the 3A south division for Varsity Football. Taking home the ‘W’ against North Thurston (48-12), River Ridge (48-6), and Central Kitsap (45-13) 

Girls Volleyball

The Girls’ Volleyball team had a great two weeks winning all of their matches. Silas (3-0) on Sept 15, Central Kitsap(3-0) on Sept 20, Capitol (3-0) on Sept 22, and Yelm (3-0) on Sept 23.  But adding onto last week, They lost to North thurston in a close match of 3-2, And won against River Ridge (3-0) and Timberline (3-0)

Girls Soccer

On Tuesday, Sept 20, the girls played North Thurston on their home field and won 4-0. They also won against River Ridge(4-0),  Timberline(1-0), Central Kitsap(1-0), and Capitol(6-0).  On top of that the girls faced the Tides and ended the game in a tie of 1-1.  

 

Boys Waterpolo

The Boys’ water polo team has only faced 1 loss against a score of 13-8, however, they were goal n’ goal up until the half. On Sept 17, they won against Rodgers with a score of 16-3. They also beat Emerald Ridge 14-2 on the 24. Lakes faced Pen High on the 28 and lost 24-9.  They won against Puyallup 10-16 and Silas 9-5.  Unfortunately they once against lost against Gig Harbor with a final score of 5-17.  This brings their record to 8-2. Number #2 in the division sitting behind Gig Harbor.

 

Boys Tennis

Boys Tennis lost 2 matches overall against Gig Harbor (Sept. 20) which was 4-1. And to Central Kitsap (Sept. 22) also 4-1

 

Girls Swim and Dive

Swim Invitational @ KCAC on Sept 24. Eight PHS swimmers were invited to participate in this invitational and Senior, Abi Oliver, qualified for Districts in the 200 IM. Loss to North Thurston (sept 29), however, over half the team had best times. They lost against Gig Harbor recently, although there were 42 best times on the team.
