As many of you know, it is very important to make sure you’re getting as many community service hours as you can. Not only does it look great on college applications and job resumes, you can get involved in our community in a very beneficial way. There are many opportunities at Peninsula High School that can help you get community service hours and get involved in the community.

The  S.A.V.E Thrift Store is a great place to start volunteering. There are so many different things you can do there that will fit you best. You can run the register, help carry boxes and items from outside into the store, help sort and organize clothing and other items, retsock, and so much more. It helps with customer service skills and can teach you other skills you will need in the future when applying for jobs. It is super easy to volunteer there; they are always looking for more people to come and work there. It is right down the hill from Peninsula and only takes about 3 minutes to walk there!! Giving time to the S.A.V.E thrift store can potentially benefit you as well. Along with getting community service hours and the satisfaction of giving back to the community, the store donates over $300,000 in scholarships to Peninsula High School seniors!

Donating your time to the S.A.V.E Thrift Store would add to your community service list and can help with your resume for jobs. The money that is earned from the S.A.V.E Thrift Store goes to senior scholarship. They would love your help!
