Welcoming Winterfest

Welcoming+Winterfest+

Winterfest is an annual event that is run by the Associated Student Body (ASB) and is a fund raiser for all of the clubs and teams at the high school. Winterfest invites local artists and business owners to come and sell their wares and is a good place to get holiday shopping done. This year Winterfest will be held on Nov. 30-Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

At Winterfest visitors can expect to be surrounded by all things Christmas and all things local. The school decks itself out in Christmas colors and the smell of pine hangs thick in the air. Besides local vendors and their booths, the different clubs sell wreaths that visitors can bid for and Santa Claus appears to spread joy and take photos with children.

Also, the different classes will be raising money for their class by selling food; the senior class will be selling quesadillas, the junior class Krispy Kremes, the sophomore class hot dogs and the freshmen class chicken Caesar salad. Another thing to note about Winterfest is all of the students working are volunteers.

Winterfest is a great fundraiser for the school, helps build a sense of community for all those who attend and ushers in the holiday season. If any students are interested in volunteering at Winterfest it is not too late to sign up to work, just visit Danielle O’Leary in Room 515 and ask to volunteer.
