Feeling the Ocean

Do you ever get that feeling when you are in the ocean with your feet buried in the sand, and you can hear the waves crashing against the shore? You listen to the wind gusts through the grass and the seagulls squawking. It all sounds so soothing. It makes me feel safe, and I don’t want to leave. It is one of the best feelings for me. Some may say otherwise because everyone is different, which is just fine. People are allowed to have their own opinions. In my opinion, the beach is one of the most relaxing places you can be. However, the beach isn’t just a place to relax but also a place to have fun! There are a ton of things you can do at the beach. You can fly a kite, build sand castles, dig in the sand, and so much more.

The ocean is a beautiful place many people find relaxing, so why do we pollute it? If we keep polluting the ocean, a few years from now, there won’t be much of an ocean to look at or even visit. We need to keep it clean. Some people think, “oh, there’s another earth out there somewhere that can support us,” but there really is no guarantee that is true. We must keep our world safe and clean because it’s all we have. I know consistently getting into a productive mindset is hard, but when you do feel like doing something, go outside and pick up trash and other things that don’t belong on the sidewalk. It doesn’t have to be a lot because even picking up a little trash helps. There are so many things that you can do to help, so if you don’t like picking up trash, look into some other ways you can help the planet and try them until you find something you like.

Now that you’ve read the article, what are your thoughts on this? Consider what you think needs to change in this world, and see if you can help with anything to make it better.
