There is no doubt that PHS loves a competition, especially when it involves their rivals, Gig Harbor High. This week, Food Bowl has been taking place and it is being run by one of Peninsula’s Seahawks, Alli Kimball. In an interview, Alli quotes “Foodbowl is a competition between Gig Harbor in order to raise food for Food Backpacks for Kids.”  If you are looking to donate, we’re looking for non-perishable items such as granola bars, mac and cheese cups, and cheese.  Foodbowl does have a purpose, Alli says “Food Bowl is used to raise food for Food Backpacks For Kids then they make Food Backpacks and give them out to help the people of Gig Harbor.” In conclusion, Food Bowl is a great way to help the people in Gig Harbor and see the winner of Food Bowl during Fishbowl halftime.
