Tuesday, December 10th: Varsity Boy’s Basketball looked to rebound at home after back-to back losses to start the year. They played against the Union Titans, and it was a rough game. There’s no sugar coating it, the team got beat, and beat badly. The Hawks kept it close for about a minute before the game started to get out of hand. Unfortunately Peninsula lost the game 72-30. The Boys went winless in out of conference play, and now will be battling for the South Sound Conference. They have a home game on Wednesday against Shelton.

Tuesday, December 10th: JV Boy’s Basketball Hosted Union, in a 46-69 loss at home. It was tough but the team can come back,  they play Shelton at home on the 11th.

Tuesday, December 10th: C-team Boy’s Basketball played Union at home and fought hard to the end, losing the game 58-45. All three teams lost on the 10th, but all three teams are sure to play better against Shelton

Tuesday, December 10th: Girl’s Bowling just started updating their score schedule on sscathletics.org (better late than never) and come to find out the girls are sitting towards the middle of the conference with a record of 3-5. Most recently the team beat Shelton 3-2 at Shelton, after suffering a 4-1 loss against Shelton at home. It is worth noting that the Bowling team also destroyed Gig Harbor 5-0 at home last week. They play North Thurston at home on the 12th. Side note: Why don’t we have guys bowling? That would be really fun.

Wednesday, December 11th: Varsity Boy’s Basketball, after a loss against Union, started conference play at home against the Shelton Highclimbers The game seemed out of reach, as at one point the Seahawks trailed by 15. The team started clawing back, but a few last second mistakes sealed the 48-52 Shelton victory. It is worth noting that the Seahawks changed uniforms for this season, rocking a brand new primarily white jersey with green trim. They are winless while wearing this new jersey. Coincidence? You decide. Varsity will voyage to North Thurston to play the Rams on Friday, the 13th at 7PM.

Wednesday, December 11th: JV Boy’s Basketball played Shelton at home, and had a lot of luck moving the ball up and down the court. The JV Seahawks managed to put up 58 points to Shelton’s 42. They will hit the road to play North Thurston, on the 13th

Wednesday, December 11th: C-team Basketball hosted Shelton and played great basketball, beating the Highclimbers 62-56. They will play away at North Thurston on Friday

Wednesday, December 11th: Varsity Girl’s Basketball traveled to Shelton to take on the Highclimbers after a loss in game one, they rebounded against a strong opponent 57-52. It is good to see them grab their first win of the year against a tough opponent, and will be playing in their first home game of the year against the North Thurston Rams on the 13th.

Wednesday, December 11th: JV Girl’s Basketball played away at Shelton and found a 51-36 win on the road. The team will host North Thurston on the 13th.

Thursday, December 12th: Wrestling had their first meet of the year, at home against Timberline. The last few years many wrestlers repped the Seahawks at districts, but now, the class of 2020 has to step up for this season. The team certainly stepped up for the first match, defending their home matts against the Timberline Blazers, winning the meet 48-18.

Thursday, December 12th: Girl’s Bowling hosted North Thurston in search of their fourth win of the year. Unfortunately, they didn’t find it, Peninsula lost to North Thurston 4-1, but their next game will be against Yelm, at Yelm on January 7th at 3pm.

Friday, December 13th: Varsity Boy’s Basketball hit the road for the first time in conference play to take on the North Thurston Rams, it is nice to say that Varsity is now, no longer winless in their new jerseys. (They must have washed them.) Varsity Dominated North Thurston, 62-43 en route to grabbing their first win of the year. The Seahawks will look to defend their home court against the tough, Yelm Tornadoes on Wednesday, December 18th at 7pm.

Friday, December 13th: JV Boy’s Basketball played away at North Thurston and marched out of the school with a win. The Seahawks were treated to a 34-24 win over the Rams, boosting their team confidence for their next game which will be against the Yelm Tornadoes on the 18th, at 5:15pm.

Friday, December 13th:C-team Boy’s Basketball It was a high scoring game for the Freshman squad, usually we see games in the 20’s or 30’s, but our freshmen put up 59 points in this one. Unfortunately North Thurston put up 67 and the Seahawks lost, but don’t dwell on that. C-team will look to take down the Yelm Tornadoes at home, at 5:15

Friday, December 13th: Varsity Girl’s Basketball hosted the North Thurston Rams, it was a close match that went into overtime. The girls started off slow, trailing by over fifteen points early in the game, but when the peninsula student section fell quiet, the team shifted into gear. The girls forced overtime, and dominated in the fifth quarter, winning the game against the Rams 58-51 in overtime.  The girls will conference play on the 18th as they pay a visit to the Yelm Tornadoes on the 18th at 7pm.

Friday, December 13th: C-team Girl’s Basketball beat North Thurston 27-13 at north Thurston, they will visit Yelm on December
